Nokia together with its partners, Herkules, Pozbud and Wasko and the manager of the national railway network, the Polish state railway operator PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA (PKP PLK), signed a five-year contract for the implementation of the nationwide GSM-R system and a key telecommunications network in order to increase the safety and reliability of railway traffic in the country. This project, which is Nokia’s largest existing GSM-R contract, will provide PKP PLK with one of the most modern railway telecommunications networks in Europe.
